Stallaert, Olivia Stallaert, Brianna Lachance
and Mackenzie Taylor-Noah of the Chatham Figure
Skating Club won gold medals at the Futures
Unlimited competition on the weekend.
Zachary Stallaert was first in
Canskate men, Olivia Stallaert was in STARSkate
pre-preliminary ladies, Lachance was in
pre-preliminary 'A' limited and Taylor Noah was
in preliminary 'B' limited.
Taylor Kewley, Bianca Turchet
and Rebecca O'Phee won bronze medals in Canskate
ladies and Mattea Deleary won bronze in
pre-preliminary 'B' limited.
Merissa Sluys in Canskate age
eight and over, Rebekah Goldsmith in
pre-preliminary 'A' limited, Jade Parker and
Jenna Adrian Shaw in Canskate ladies, and Jesse
Hanlon in pre-preliminary 'B' limited finished
fourth.

ladies, Joel Goldsmith in pre-preliminary 'A'
and Kealy Taylor Noah in pre-preliminary 'A'
limited were fifth. Benjamin Alexander was sixth
in Canskate men. Brenton Hudson was seventh in
Canskate men, as were Ashley Hudson and Madeline
Vanderpaelt in pre-preliminary 'A' limited.
Olivia Stallaert, Paige Newman
and Ashley Glassco of the Chatham Figure Skating
Club will compete Saturday at Skate Ontario's
Trillium STARSkate Championships in Waterloo.
They qualified by placing in the top three in
their respective divisions at the Western
Ontario championships last month in Windsor.
Stallaert, 8 skates at the pre-preliminary level
and attends Monsignor Uyen Catholic School.
Newman, 11, competes in the junior bronze and is
a student at Indian Creek Road Public School.
Glassco, 10, skates at the peliminary level and
also attends Indian Creek Road.

Waterloo - Paige Newman and Ashley Glassco of
the Chatham Figure Skating Club won silver
medals at Skate Ontario's Trillium STARSkate
Championships on Saturday.
Newman was second in junior bronze ladies and
Glassco was second in preliminary ladies.
Olivia Stallaert of Chatham was fourth in
pre-preliminary ladies.
C-K athletes win
Games medals
Five Chatham-Kent athletes won medals at the
Ontario Winter Games on the weekend.
At Barrie, figure skaters Chelsea Robinson of
Dresden and Michael Guyett of Blenheim won gold
medals in juvenille dance with 44.00 points
Saturday.
Katrina de Liberato of Chatham won a bronze in
juvenile ladies Saturday. She placed third
out of 12 skaters with 32.66 points

Ashley Glassco of the Chatham
Figure Skating Club has been selected to the
Western Ontario development team. The team
is made up of skaters who collected points at
three designated competitions. They'll
receive guidance and feedback for their
development. Glassco, 10, is a singles
skater in preliminary ladies coached by Joelle
Daigneau.
Robyn Moffat,
Olivia Caron, Katrina de Liberato and Hillary
Poole of the Chatham Figure Skating Club passed
their gold tests recently. Moffat, 17, de
Liberato, 12, and Poole, 16, passed their tests
in interpretive skating and Caron, 16, passed
her test in skating skills. Dakota
Smolders, also passed the skills test.
