De Liberato wins pair of silver medals
Katrina de Liberato of the
Chatham Figure Skating Club won a pair of silver
medals this summer.
She took second in the
pre-novice ladies short and freeskate programs,
at the Central Ontario Summer Skate in Richmond
Hill.
She also won a silver medal in
the pre-novice ladies short program at Minto
Skate in Ottawa.
De Liberato took
home a sixth-place finish in the pre-novice free
skate in Ottawa.
At Summer Sizzle in
Kitchener-Waterloo, she placed fourth in pre-novice
short and sixth in freeskate.
Christi Steele and Adam Johnson
won a silver in senior pairs at Summer Sizzle. They
captured a bronze medal in junior pair short program
and a pewter medal in junior pair at Skate Detroit.
Steele placed ninth in junior
ladies at Summer Sizzle and 11th in junior ladies at
Skate Detroit.
Ashley Glassco copped a silver in
pre-juvenile ladies at the Central Ontario Summer
Skate in Richmond Hill.
William Lindsay took sixth in the
senior men’s short program and seventh in freeskate,
to finish seventh overall in Richmond Hill.
Paige Newman placed 11th in
juvenile ladies at Richmond Hill.
Madelyn Alexander finished ninth
in dramatic entertainment and 11th in light
entertainment in the preliminary level at the U.S.
National Showcase championship in Rochester, Minn.
